BENNY.Family photos are viewed at Benny Heller's sisters house in Phoenix, AZ. Heller, 72, is one of over 20 million Americans living with type 2 diabetes. He gives himself daily insulin shots multiple times a day while a home health aide visits three times a week. For most of his adult life, he lived in a small one bedroom apartment in Manhattan with his mother until she passed away. Heller soon moved to a nursing home in Phoenix, AZ to be closer to members of his family, but still hoped to go home one day. His family however, not expecting him to return have already starting to pack up his NYC apartment.
