Blue grave markers called “Castilhos” are laid out for people who died of Covid at Nossa Senhora Aparecida public cemetery March 30, 2021 in Manaus, Brazil. This entire area was all jungle last year but had to be cleared for the thousands that are dying of Covid. Plants are already growing back as the family members are not allowed in to maintain the grave sites. Brazilian residences are receiving the CoronaVac vaccine, also known as the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine. CoronaVac is an inactivated virus COVID-19 vaccine developed by the Chinese company Sinovac Biotech and has been in Brazil's Phase III clinical trials. Photo Ken Cedeno
